What’s Cookin’? We’re having our first sale!

The winter holiday season officially begins this week! (or so says Wikipedia).

For our family, it has mostly been about food. Traditions run several generations deep, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t branching out as our family gets connected to other families. This year the menu will include chicken and dumplings (one of our guests is from the South), a corn casserole (from Texas), and at least two turkeys, one brined and one smoked, along with Great-Grandpa’s stuffing, and five kinds of cranberries!

That’s for one day. I have sometimes struggled to put meals on the table the first 25 or so days of November… mostly because all my good ideas (and the budget) were going into Thanksgiving!

Just in case you are in the same boat, I would like to recommend you download a copy of my “Frugal Cooking Guide.” This handy 32-page booklet is crammed with faith-based tasty, thrifty ideas and flexible recipes along with substitutions. The $7.50 you will spend will be quickly recouped in your reduced grocery expenses and increased creativity.

Click on Frugal Cooking Guide in the side bar, or read more about it here.

AND ...From now until December 24, I am offering this helpful cookbook for only $5.00.  Printed or loaded on a thumb drive, these make great stocking stuffers for the newlywed, starving college student or anyone who is on the lookout for good ideas on the table and in the heart.
