The Eighth Day

Published by christi on

On the eighth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me…eight days of His Name.

Jewish babies are traditionally given their names on the eighth day after their birth. This one had His declared before His birth, but on the eighth day, it was official!

What’s in this name?

Power and authority to heal diseases, cast out demons, free prisoners and raise the dead.

The ability to become children of God. Salvation.  Protection.

It is the Name at which every knee will bow, in heaven, on earth and under the earth! The Name at which the demons must be silent! The Name shouted in heaven as worthy of all honor, glory, praise, dominion, thanksgiving, and victory!

It is the only Name under heaven by which we must be saved. And He has given it to us as stewards of His mission here, the signature on the check that provides for our needs.

What a gift! What a beautiful Name it is!

Thank Jesus by using His Name today in worship, in wonder, in doing the works He came to do!

On the eighth day of Christmas my True Love gave to me: His pow’rful Name,

Seven-fold Spirit, six days of nature, five healing wounds, four gospels, three witnesses, old and new birth, and Himself wrapped in human flesh!

Merry Christmas!
