The Second Day…
On the second day of Christmas my True Love gave to me…two births!
If you are reading this, you have been born once. You have 23 sets of chromosomes. You are a human. In coming to earth as a human, Jesus brought us the gift of second birth. All who put their trust in Jesus and what He has done for us get a second set of DNA! The DNA of God! The Apostle Peter tells us that we are born of the seed of God…that’s the Bible way of saying genetic material, but it’s the kind that never grows old and dies. It keeps on living and growing us up to look like Jesus! What a great gift!
(Cue music…) On the second day of Christmas my True Love gave to me:
Old and new birth,
And Himself wrapped in human flesh.
